Elon Musk’s Instagram is up for auction for $6000

An Instagram account that previously used the name of Elon Musk is up for sale on a Telegram group that specializes in trading usernames. According to X-user @henn100x, it is currently being offered for $6,000.
The account appears in the Telegram group “Tekk.” It also sells controversial names like @transformers, @terrorists and @cocaines.
Users fear that the new owner may use the account to promote questionable cryptocurrencies, especially memcoins. Such schemes have repeatedly led to major thefts in the industry. Last year alone, the accounts of McDonald’s, Usher and Wiz Khalifa were hacked, through which phishing links and scam projects were distributed.
Ilon Musk deleted his Instagram back in 2018, saying he had no sympathy for the platform. In X, he wrote at the time, “Instagram is so hungry for attention it’s giving death by water.”
Despite this, his name is still often used by scammers to create cryptocurrency schemes designed to gain the trust of the audience.
