A Golden Statue of Donald Trump Holding Bitcoin Installed in Washington

A golden statue of US President Donald Trump holding a bitcoin has appeared in Washington, about a mile from the White House. The monument stands 12 feet tall (about 3.66 m), reports Cointelegraph.
The installation was organized by the founders of the memecoin DJTGST. According to them, it is a tribute to “Trump’s visionary leadership and his commitment to advancing the future of finance through bitcoin and decentralized technologies.”
Project investor representative Hichem Zaghdoudi noted in an interview with ABC 7News DC: “This installation is intended to spark discussion about the future of national currency and symbolizes the connection between modern politics and financial innovation.”
The installation of the statue coincided with the US Federal Reserve’s decision to cut the key interest rate by 25 basis points — the first time in the past year.
At the same time, the capitalization of the memecoin DJTGST, created in honor of the statue, is about $103,000. At its peak, the figure reached nearly $2.4 million, according to pump.fun.
