A post reappeared on Sam Bankman-Fried’s account: FTT token surged by 55%

On September 24, 2025, the first message in six months appeared on the account of former FTX head Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

The publication caused an immediate market reaction: the FTT token price rose by more than 55%, but soon corrected and at the time of writing is about $0.99, according to TradingView data.

In the comments under the post, it is clarified that the post was not made by Bankman-Fried himself, who is in prison, but by his friend. “No, SBF is not posting by himself from prison. I am a friend who writes on his behalf,” the note says.

The situation was commented on by Ikigai Asset Management founder Travis Kling. He stated that he forgave Bankman-Fried immediately after the FTX collapse and urged other market participants to let go of their grievances as well. According to Kling, hatred can destroy a person from within.
