Ethereum Sets New Records in Staking and Institutional Reserves, Remaining Below Price Peak

According to a recent CryptoQuant report, in September 2025, Ethereum is showing several historical highs, confirming its status as a key asset in the global financial market.
According to analysts, institutional funds have doubled their reserves since April, bringing them to 6.5 million ETH. At the same time, large holders with balances from 10,000 to 100,000 ETH now control over 20 million coins.
The report notes:
“This surge indicates active institutional participation, but at the same time suggests that a significant portion of ‘smart money’ has already entered the market, leaving less room for short-term growth.”
Another record is 36.15 million ETH in staking, which reduces the supply of coins in free circulation and strengthens trust in the network. The queue for staking participation has also become historic, exceeding $3.6 billion.
Amid institutional interest, the network is seeing increased activity: daily smart contract calls have exceeded 12 million, strengthening Ethereum’s position as a leading platform for decentralized applications and settlements.
Price dynamics remain restrained: after updating the historical high at $4956 (August 24, 2025, Binance), the ETH rate decreased to $4534. Analysts believe that the market is consolidating near the support level around $4400, while the decrease in coin inflows to exchanges signals a reduction in selling pressure.
