Millions of users around the world experienced an outage in OpenAI services

OpenAI services have been unavailable to millions of users. Since the early morning of June 10, there has been a global outage in ChatGPT, Sora, and the API, resulting in massive complaints and failures in sending requests.
Users are reporting crashes in both the web version of ChatGPT and mobile apps. The company confirmed that some users are experiencing an “increased number of errors,” but the specific causes of the outage have not yet been named.
According to DownDetector data, ChatGPT was hit hardest: 93% of all complaints are about this product. According to information from the OpenAI forum, only Playground, an experimental platform for working with AI models, is stable.
At the time of writing, the company has not publicly commented on X. The latest post on the official account focuses on the Advanced Voice feature introduced earlier.
This is not the first case of mass failure of OpenAI services recently. A similar problem was observed on May 19, when users were also unable to access the platforms.
Earlier, on December 26, 2024, another incident occurred that left OpenAI services unavailable for more than four hours.
