In Ethereum, Staking Requests Surpass Exits for the First Time Since July

The Ethereum network has seen a reversal in staking dynamics: the number of entry requests has surpassed exits for the first time since July 22, 2025. According to the Validator Queue service, as of September 4, 2025, there are 826,876 ETH (approximately $3.6 billion) in the activation queue, while 815,757 ETH (around $3.55 billion) are in the exit queue.

Staking service provider Everstake noted that the current surge in demand is the largest since the Shanghai upgrade in 2023, which first allowed staked assets to be withdrawn. Users will now have to wait about 15 days before their funds are included in the staking process.

Analysts believe that the total supply of coins locked in staking will remain stable at over 36 million ETH, as the volumes of entry and exit requests are almost balanced.

Amid these processes, the price of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization is trading at $4352, according to TradingView data.
